The New Age Superstars

How does a team rebuild itself after it's shining superstar leaves to play for another team or retires from the game that he so loves? It's a difficult process, I'm sure. Teams like the Atlanta Braves and the St. Louis Cardinals are the two tams that recently lost their superstars; their heroes. Chipper Jones ended his 19 year career with the Atlanta Braves, whereas Albert Pujols left the Cards to play for the Los Angels of Anaheim. While Pujols still plays the game, his departure has and will continue to have the same effects for a long time coming.
There losses of the two are so large that their respective former teams will have to reconstruct their new teams around an up and coming player, or if their lucky, two up and coming players. Such so happened to the the Braves and the Cardinals. Both team have two or even three players they are ready to build for the future. With Jason Heyward and Freddie Freeman with the Atlanta Braves and Allen Craig and David Freese with the Cardinals, the two teams will build their future teams around them and will succeed to becoming power houses in the NL in the not too distant future.
The Braves will mainly focus on Jason Heyward to rebuild around because of what he brings to the table. Heyward is a five tool player, that is going ot propel to new heigts this season. The reigning right field Gold Glove winner for the NL had a career year last year, hitting 27 home runs with 82 RBI and was the key contributor to the Braves success throughout the year. Freedie Freeman is a great up and coming player but the Braves will mainly focus on his power abilities. Freeman his 21 home runs and lead the team in RBI with 94. With Heyward and Freeman in the lineup for a long time to come, the tandem will strike fear in the hearts of pitchers with the overall versatility of Heyward and the raw power on Freeman. The Braves are legitimate World Series contenders this year, these two will be two of the leaders in the Braves clubhouse to lead Atlanta to the coveted title.
The Cardinals have two young players in David Freese and Allen Craig that have revitalized the city of St. Louis only the way that Albert Pujols could do before. Both already have a World Series championship to their credit due to the insane post season that David Freese had in 2011. He hit 5 home runs and hit a ridiculous .397 to be the MVP for the series. He maybe a little older than Craig, but at 29 years old, Freese will be the main face for the Cardinals franchise for the some time to come. Craig, like Freeman is one of the most exciting up and coming first baseman in the game today. Craig also has raw power and good defensive abilities. Craig slugged out 22 home runs along with 92 RBI last season in only 119 games. Both are off to great starts for their careers and seem to get better as their careers go on.
Chipper Jones and Albert Pujols are both future Hall of Famers and while one has retired and the other is playing in another city, their former teams will surely miss their impact but are ready for the future. Both teams look to succeed with their teams built around these players and I really do believe that they will.
